After shaking hands, the man moves closer to the quartet. The area is a mezzanine above a large assembly room, decorated with potted trees and an indoor waterfall. A large decorated Christmas tree stands against one wall.

The man reaches into his pocket and pulls out several index cards – – notes for a speech.

“On behalf of the chief -” continues the speaker.
